I traveled about 286 km (178 miles). I traveled from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko near Mt. Fuji and did a little bit of sightseeing, as well as commuting back and forth from school.
I haven't been keeping track of my mileage too closely. Adding up all my major trips and weekly commute, I've traveled about 2,500 km (1553 miles). However, this is only a rough estimate since there are probably more trips I have not accounted for.
I mostly used the subway system. However, I did go to Kawaguchiko by bus.
I went to the Kawaguchiko Music Forest. Set up like a European town, the little theme park had gardens, beautiful little buildings, and musical instruments on display. I got to see two mini-concerts, and people interested in cosplay could rent a princess outfit for 1000-yen (about $10).
My sister and I stayed in Kawaguchiko for two days. We got to experience staying at a capsule hotel as well as renting a swan boat. It was a lot of fun. However, traveling can also exhausting. I got sick during my Kawagushiko trip and felt horrible on the way back home. So, remember to rest up before going on a trip, eat well and drink lots of water!
