I appreciate the opportunity to observe how people around the world live differently than I do.
In addition to The Lost Forest, I had the opportunity to visit Anja Community Reserve, a community-run project dedicated to protecting a small piece of ring-tailed lemur habitat. The reserve is home to about 400 individuals! These lemurs are found only in Madagascar and live in groups of about 30-40 individuals. The females run the show in these matriarchal (female-dominated) groups.
