Olà from Sao Paulo! In Portuguese, Olà means hello. I landed in Sao Paulo on Saturday night, February 24, 2018. My total flight time from Ahmedabad to Sao Paulo was 20 hours total on two separate flights. Sao Paulo is located in South America, and its climate is very different from Ahmedabad's climate. In Ahmedabad it is very hot and dry, but in Sao Paulo it is hot and humid. The temperature is often 20 degrees lower in Sao Paulo than in Ahmedabad, but to me the dry heat is much more barable than the humid, tropical heat.
Brazil's climate is tropical, which means that it is very humid and hot here! Every day reminds me of summer in New York City, because my hair gets very frizzy from the humidity.
Since Brazil is located in the Southern Hemisphere of the earth, summer is just now starting to end. Brazilian summers are typically very rainy and so they are also called "rainy season." The forecast every day predicts a least a little rain and thunderstorms at some point in the day. I always have to remember to carry a rain jacket wherever I go, just in case!
Unrelated to climate, most people consider Sao Paulo to have a very "built environment".
