I loved all of the vegetables together. I tried eggplant for the first time during my first week here and have absolutely loved it ever since! The whole pot together tasted really good, and I felt very full afterwards.
The breakfast was very good as well! I like scallion pancakes. They're like little thin rolls of dough made of green onions. It reminded me a little of a hashbrown. Mine had eggs and cheese inside, and it was very good. The toast was also tasty. It was a lot thicker than I thought it would be!
I've already said it, but stinky tofu smells very bad. After trying it, I also think it tastes very bad. I'm happy I gave it a try because it's famous here. But it was salty and sour at the same time. I'm not sure why it's so famous, but a lot of people seem to like it!
Lastly, the pork dish was very good! I liked the curry sauce on the pork, which was sweet and not spicy. The noodles and egg were delicious, too. I was also very full after eating it.
Food is prepared in a lot of different ways here. In many places, there are night markets that are full of small food stands. The people who make those foods usually make them at the stand on a small grill in front of you. Taiwan is famous for a lot of different sauces and spices that are put on the food. These provide a huge variety of tastes: spicy, sweet, salty, and more!
Taiwan also has sit-down restaurants that make food in a kitchen, just like in America. And sometimes, as with hot pot, you get all the ingredients and you prepare the food yourself!
