Hello! Before we get started on this journey together, let us introduce ourselves.
Who are you?
Tessa: My name is Tessa Peixoto and I'm a Brasilian American who studied marine science for my Bachelor's degree in college. I'm fascinated with the world and always ready to learn something new! I have scuba-dived with eight different shark species, including Great White sharks! So, I'm no stranger to the ocean and boats. I've worked in science education at a museum and with adults completing their high school degrees. This will be my second time sailing aboard the JOIDES Resolution and I look forward to sharing the amazing rocks and mud we collect on this expedition with you!
Larkin: Hi there! My name is Larkin Bohn, and my journey on the water began 12 years ago when I started working as a sailor on a variety of adventure cruise ships around the world. Inspired by my deep love of oceanic science, I switched gears and joined my first research vessel, where I also discovered a new love for videography. I especially love filming the amazing data collection happening onboard at sea.
