Finally, we get our chance to tell the rest of the team more about our work and what to expect in terms of ongoing outreach activities.
Despite the challenging work, everyone is smiling and so excited to learn how everything operates because the ship will be our home for two months. The people on board will all become close friends.
Throughout the expedition, we will walk around the ship to photograph everyone while they work, uncover the details of their job, and tell the story of Expedition 402! We love to host virtual tours of the ship and show people like you around the world what it looks like to conduct research at sea. Anyone can ask us questions while we show them our ice cream machine or the big drilling tower called the derrick! We are so excited to have you join us on this journey because you are as big of a part of this expedition as the crew!
