Välkommen! Welcome to Sweden!

Sweden gets really cold in the winter, so I had to pack lots of warm clothes like big jackets, scarves, and gloves. It was a bit overwhelming to get everything ready, but now that I’m here, I’m so happy I came.

Do I speak Swedish?

Not yet, but I’m learning! Swedish is a fun language, and I’m excited to learn new words every day. For example, hej means “hello,” tack means “thank you,” and Välkommen means “welcome.” People here are very kind; they are  also very patient when I try to speak their language! Sometimes it’s tricky to understand everything the people here say in Swedish, but I’m getting better!

What is Lund like?

Lund is a small, cozy city with old cobblestone streets and beautiful buildings. There’s a famous cathedral here that’s over 900 years old! Many people come from all over Sweden to explore the cathdral and city because it feels like you are stepping back in time. The seasons are very different too! In the winter, it gets dark early and the weather is often snowy. But when summer comes, the sun stays up really late, even until 10:00 p.m.!

I can’t wait to share more about my adventures with you and to hear all about your classroom! Until next time!

See you soon!
