Meet Elisa!

German and English. In German we also say “Hi” or “Hey” or “Hallo.”

Do you have pets?:

Yes, a dog and a cat.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

Yes. I traveled to America (Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Panama, US), South-East Asia (Thailand, Malaysia) and of course in Europe.

What do you do for work?:

I’m a scientist/project leader for molecular biology. I also studied molecular and cell biology at the University of Osnabrück. I was always a very curious person and fascinated by the fact that in research you can discover things nobody else has seen/described before.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

I really appreciate the German/European system of studying. My parents were non-academics and could not pay my flat/living expenses during studying, but in this case, you get an interest-free loan by the state of which you only have to pay back 10,000 € maximum. Additionally, all Universities are free of tuition fees. Therefore, I could easily get a very good education without getting myself into high debts.
