The most fun activity this week was getting to go to Las Tablas and meeting up with my friend. We met up at a coffee shop in the downtown area and chatted for a bit to catch up on what we were doing. Afterward, we walked around for a bit, did some shopping, and met some of her friends from the village where she lives. I don’t visit Las Tablas too often, but every time I go, I have a great time.
This week, I started reading a book called Nuevas Narraciones Panameñas. It’s a book all about legends, stories and traditions from Panama.
For the past few months I’ve been trying to practice and improve my jump-roping, so I've been doing it for a few minutes every day in the backyard or the gym. It’s a great activity to get a workout in as you try to time your jumps to the music to which you’re listening.
The presidential election is coming up soon in Panama, with voting happening on May 5th. It’s been interesting seeing the debates on T.V., as well as the various advertisements for the different political parties. There are eight candidates in the running, and the candidate that receives the largest percentage of the vote will win.
