Hi class!
I hope that you've enjoyed speaking with me and reading some of my stories in the past couple of months. I decided to write about Ukraine on Reach the World this year because when I did it two years ago when I lived in New York, I thought it was so cool to see other people traveling and telling their stories. When I came to Ukraine, I wanted to do that too because I believe Ukraine is a place worth visiting and learning about.
The most important lesson that I've learned here is that even if people don't have much, they can live a really full life. Sometimes material things aren't so important - like cars, McDonald's or washing machines. But the sense of community that Ukraine has is amazing. The people really depend on each other and it is very inspiring. If you ever decide to visit Ukraine, remember to try varenyky, greet someone by saying "Privit" and buy some sunflowers.
Until next time,
Tori
