Bonjour in French, Hallo in German.
No, we don't have any pets, but we wouldn't have time to take care of a pet. Vienna is very dog friendly, I'm sure you've seen dogs on the train, but I just can't take care of a dog.
I've been to Japan Ghana, India, South Africa, Morocco, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, every country in Europe, the U.S, Cuba. Some were for fun and others were for my wife’s work.
I teach film music/ trends in soundtracks, classical jazz, music from genres like rock, hip hop, soul. I also teach music and politics, and of course jazz history! I teach mostly to American students at Webster University in Vienna. I have been teaching there for 20 years. I was an academic advisor at Webster for four years, from 2011-2015. I started teaching at IES Abroad three years ago. Next year, I will be promoted to music department coordinator. I also teach at the Donau University in Krems. Then sometimes I do some translating work. In the early 2000s, when I was first living in Vienna, I worked at a Canadian embassy and spoke about immigrating to Quebec in Ukraine and Russia, and some other places.
I feel like I've been on one long vacation for 28 years. Any chance that you have to travel, DO. Nothing is greater than to have your ideas confronted and changed with the people you meet in other countries.
