The main language spoken here is British English. It is pretty different from American English, and people say things like cheers and well done. Bristol is a very diverse city, so walking around, I’ve heard a lot of other languages like Spanish, French, Chinese, and Arabic!
In England, they use British Pounds, and have this symbol for their money: £. American dollars are all green, but here the money comes in all different types of colors. They also use really unique coins, which can be gold, silver, or both.
A bottle of water costs around £1 - £3, which is equal to $1 - $4. I try not to buy water and fill up my water bottle at home.
My best meal this week was toast! I toasted sourdough bread and added cheddar cheese and avocado on top. As a college student, I have to cook for myself on most days, so I try to keep it simple when I have a lot of stuff to do.
