Not far at all! The farthest place I traveled to was the train station, which is only a mile from my dorm. But in total, I traveled almost 25 miles around Bristol. In England, they use kilometers, so that would be 40 km!
On this journey, the farthest I have ever traveled was to Granada, Spain, which is almost 1,000 miles away.
I walked everywhere! I live right in the city center, so I can walk to all of the places I need to get to in under 30 minutes.
This week, I went to Arnolfini Arts, which is an art gallery in Bristol by the harbor. They had a very interesting exhibit by an artist named Mounira Al Solh. She made sculptures and paintings based on a Greek myth about Zeus and Europa. Fun fact: Europa is where we get the name Europe from!
In other news, I took the bus from my dorm to an area in Bristol called Clifton. I don't normally take it, but Clifton is quite far, and it was raining when I went to visit her. In England, a lot of buses are double-decker, which means that they have two levels. The green buses are fully electric, so they use electricity instead of gas like normal cars.
