






We first flew from Kathmandu to New Delhi, India for 1 hour and 30 minutes (505 miles). Then, we hopped on a bus that drove about 5 hours to Dehradun (160 miles). Later, Dehradun to Rishikesh was around a 2 hour drive (24 miles).
The distance from Memphis, TN to Kathmandu, Nepal is 8,078 miles.
I got to India by plane and took a private bus throughout the excursion with my study abroad group. We got around by walking in all the bazaars. In Nepal, I usually walk or take a taxi.
Navdanya’s seed bank! They’ve saved hundreds of different indigenous seed varieties inside the seed bank using easy seed saving methods. Walking into the seed bank, I saw so many different plants hanging upside down to dry so that they could collect the seeds.
