I started the week in Dehradun with sunny days, but the days turned cloudy later in the week. Then, it rained for two days! This was surprising because it’s the dry season in India, so it usually doesn’t rain. The streets became muddy and we had to change our excursion schedule to keep dry. Outside wasn’t too hot, and the nights were only a little bit chilly. Overall, India was warmer than Nepal.
There were so many different animals on the farm in Dehradun. I saw tiny puppies and lots of other dogs running in the fields. There was also a cute cat that came into my room and curled up right next to me for a night. I saw cows on the farm and all around the cities we visited. Finally, I saw lots of monkeys in the trees and on the buildings in Rishikesh, the city known as the "Yoga Capital of the World." Our teachers tell us not to smile at the monkeys because they might mistake our smiles for aggression.
