During the dry season in the southern part of Ghana, it is hot and humid. While most days it's not super sunny, it's also not cloudy or rainy. However, it has rained a few times this week, which is unexpected during the dry season.
This week I saw pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, a horse and cows. There are so many animals in my community and when I wake up it's typically because of the roosters!
My host family has a peacock that wanders around the property, which is always pretty cool to see! The peacock is so loud when it yells.
We have had a lot more rain in my community than there is normally during the dry season. The irregular rain is one of the signs of climate change that affects the farmers here as they don't know when exactly to plant their crops for the year.
