Planes, Trains, and Scooters

There is also no steering wheel or gas pedal, which means the driver controls everything from the handlebars. At first, it was a little hard to learn how to drive. After practicing a lot, I got more comfortable driving one. Now I think driving my scooter is really fun and convienient except when it's raining. Even my huge raincoat doesn't stop me from getting a little wet while riding my scooter in the rain! Sometimes, if it's raining too hard, I decide to take the train instead.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

The environment and surroundings are definitely connected to the choice many people make to drive a scooter. People in Taiwan can drive a scooter no matter what the season is because it never gets too cold outside here, even in the winter. It is also easier to drive up narrow mountain roads with a scooter than with a car, which helps a lot in the area that I live in because I am surrounded by mountains.
