COAR Kids - Student Life at Peru's High-Performance Boarding Schools

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

Some of my favorite non-academic activities are playing basketball or soccer, watching a movie or series, reading a book or manga, and playing the guitar.

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Recently, my favorite famous person has been Kevin Kaarl. He also plays guitar, and expresses different feelings in his songs, such as love, grief, and pain.

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

I listen to a mix of genres, mostly pop songs and songs in English. Some specific songs are Riptide by Vance Joy and Somewhere Only We Know by Keane. I also listen to Grupo 5, a Peruvian band that is popular at parties.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

I want to study medicine and be a doctor. My desire to do so has only been getting stronger over the past few years. My mom has asthma. She had to go to the hospital, and I saw the deficiency in the hospital system. The hospitals here have poor service, are disorganized, have long wait times, and they do not pay good attention to their patients.

I do not want to be a doctor for the money, but rather to improve the system. I want to help and care for people.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

It is hard to choose. I want to go to France, the UK, the USA, and Canada to expand my worldviews. I also want to get to know more people, specifically people from those countries because I am looking to apply to universities there and practice my English and French.
