After the crocodile show was a magic show and an elephant show. The magic show was interesting, to say the least! The magician had on a costume with big yellow clown shoes. The elephant show was entertaining but it began to rain (as usual), so we left before the elephant show was over.
Next up was Phuket. We left for Phuket on Friday by airplane. The plane ride was one hour. When we arrived, we saw posters at the airport about an island tour. An island is a piece of land surrounded by water and this island tour went to four different islands! We chose to do it and it was so worth it! The scenery in Phuket is amazing! The water is clear and the mountains stand in the background. We even saw monkeys!
One of the islands we toured was called Phi Phi Island. This island had monkeys roaming freely and they are very friendly! There were monkeys on the shore, at the top of the mountains and on the edge of the island. Then, we left Phi Phi Islands and continued our tour.
Next, we went snorkeling. We got to swim in the ocean with fish. The tour guides gave us life jackets so we would not become tired while swimming in the ocean waves. We also wore goggles so we could see underneath the water. We saw beautiful coral reefs and different colors of fish and squid. I also saw a crab who was hiding on a log that floated past us! We had 40 minutes to snorkel and then we had to go back to the boat to continue the tour.
We then went to another island to eat food and take a break before going back into the water. This break was very much needed. After being in the water so long, I was hungry! We ate and continued to swim around. We saw other islands as well, then went back to the hotel before it got too dark.
