Nunnin' Around

The eldest son has mental disabilities and my sister-in-law takes care of him and makes sure he can live as normal a life as possible. The other son took a break from seminary school when my brother passed away to help with the family, but now that the family is strong again he is now back at seminary school. The youngest son loves Anime and wants to become a voice actor for an Anime TV series. He is really enjoying his life. My parents live with my sister-in-law, as is common amongst Japanese families. They help with whatever they can although they are very old."

How do you get around?:

"I usually take a taxi to save time. I go to the train station, and sometimes I go to Okayama City. Sometimes I go to Kurashiki. I like using the train to visit my family and sometimes to just relax. But the train is the most convenient."

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

We had a great laugh about this question, as I assumed that she must like wearing her habit (the outfit that nuns wear), but she told me she actually likes to go a little more casual. "I am a little big for a Japanese woman, so it is hard for me to find casual clothing I like, but when I visited my sisters in America I bought a lot of casual jeans, t-shirts, and small backpacks. That is my favorite way to dress, especially when walking around and sight seeing."

What do you like to do in your free time?:

"Since I am very busy, anything to help me relax. I love listening to music, classical is my favorite, but I love all types of music. I also like to read."

Once again, I assumed, because she was a nun she was going to say the Holy Bible, but her answer shocked me.
