Orit is my host mom and simply an amazing human being. I thank her for making my experience in Israel as special as it is. She is a funny, caring and outgoing person, and I am so lucky to have her here! This is just a little insight into her life here in Israel.

“I live in Rehovot, Israel in an apartment. I grew up as a child here. Then I went into the army, lived in Eilat (the southern tip of Israel), studied in Beersheba (a city in the desert and south of Israel), worked as a flight attendant, then finally, I moved back here to start a family. There are a lot apartment buildings in my neighborhood. Around here there are not really houses, so living in an apartment building is the normal thing to do. However, the apartments are very expensive to live in here because of the area. It is a nice friendly neighborhood, in a city close to Tel Aviv. It is really nice for my children because they can walk to a lot of friends' apartments by themselves.”
