Dinner was always rice and veggies.
Unfortunately, I did not get to listen to much music this week. While in the field, I was always talking to the people around me, listening to instructions, learning new words in Khmer or taking photos.
The most fun activity this week was climbing up and down the huge Koh Ker Temple! I submitted many of my reports this week from the top of the temple because it offered the strongest internet signal. I also enjoyed hanging out with Mr. Sy and exchanging our languages with each other. He cannot speak English and I cannot speak Khmer, so most of our communication is through hand gestures, pointing and acting out our words. It is a fun game to play. You should try it with a classmate sometime!
This week I read a lot of my own writing. I had to write up field notes and reports to submit for our project.
This week Mr. Sy and I picked off fruit from a tree and did a little bowling while we waited for the team to get begin our work. Have you ever bowled with fruit?
