This week I traveled to and from the capital city, Asuncion, to take my puppy to the vet. When I am traveling along, I take the bus. The long-distance bus passes directly in front of my house, where I can catch it. It takes about 3.5- 4 hours to get to the capital city. When I am traveling with my puppy, I have to go in a truck, as he is too big for the bus. One of my neighbors is a truck driver; we go with him in the cab of the truck.
My original journey from home to Paraguay was about 4,500 miles and took about 14 hours of flying. Since then, I have travelled to the north and south of the country, each direction being about an eight-hour drive. I have also had the opportunity to travel to Formosa and Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bogotá, Columbia, Willemstad, Curaçao and Isla Taboga and Panamá City, Panamá.
This week I got around by truck, bus, Bolt (South American Uber), bike and a lot of walking!
