Ireland's Environment

The wind energy is converted into energy that humans can use in their everyday life!

What challenges do people face living in this environment?:

One aspect of the environment I've noticed since I've lived in Ireland is the seemingly constant rain. Not a week goes by where it doesn't rain at least a few days. While it is relaxing to hear the drizzle of rain during a cozy night in, constant rainshowers can often put a damper on plans. I have had to learn to always bring a rain coat and umbrella wherever I go! And I have learned from my Irish friends that sometimes plans go on even during a rain shower!

Another challenge I have noticed is the large amount of rocks in the fields. No matter what county I travel to, I notice the unique way that the Irish have decided to clear their fields of this rock.

How have people been adapting to this environment?:

Because of the large amount of rocks in the Irish fields, farmers and other poeple who live here have decided to clear the land by building stone walls. It's amazing how far these stone walls stretch and the amount of time and effort it took to build them!
