They both love Manuel Turizo and Bad Bunny, two famous singers.
Alex and Niko love to listen to Latin music, which is a mix of reggaeton, salsa and other Latin music styles.
Alex doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up, and Niko wants to be a car mechanic because he loves playing with his Hot Wheels and he wants to build great cars when he’s older.
Alex would want to go to Rome because he likes Italian history and culture. Niko would want to visit Texas (where I’m from!) because that’s where Gas Monkey (a world-famous automobile shop in Dallas) is located.
Neither have visited the United States, but Alex told me that he thinks the U.S is like a whole different world, where everyone always feels safe and where there is a lot more technology and lots of different places and people to see. Niko just told me he thinks everything must be so much more expensive there!
They are both wondering about what American kids think about people from Ecuador and what things they think are different about the U.S. and Ecuador. They’d also want to know if kids in the United States would want to visit Ecuador if they could. Niko also wanted to know if there are real cars like his hot wheels car in the U.S.
