Seeing the trees from the top of attractions made the experience so much more beautiful. I loved the seasonal chilly weather.
During this semester, one of my classes focused a lot on how our society shapes our understanding of the environment. During these weeks we learned about how the Korean government is planning to cut down many trees older than 30 years because at that point they produce less oxygen. An article that I read stated that the cutting down of the trees would allow for replanting so the new trees can maximize their production of oxygen and lower the greenhouse gases produced. I found this very interesting because I had never thought that the age of the tree could determine its level of oxygen production.
Darts and dancing games are very popular in Korea. They are very popular any season but their popularity spikes during the chilly fall evening or winter days. During this time I was able to challenge a friend of mine to a dance battle. I'm not particularly good at it, but it was fun to try my hardest and lose to a dance master like my friend.
