The English Market

Introduction:

I visited The English Market this past weekend. There are many little businesses within the building, each selling a variety of local produce, meat, seafood and bread. I was looking forward to trying more local Irish food during my trip to the Market. I was pleasantly surprised by the great food that I tried.

What food did I try?:

I ate sushi hand rolls. This particular business at The English Market was the first to introduce sushi hand rolls to Ireland which is a very cool fact!

How did I feel when I tried it?:

They were very yummy! The sushi hand rolls were also much easier to eat than just regular sushi. I appreciated that I found a place that sells these hand rolls because I love eating sushi in the United States!

How is the food prepared?:

The ingredients are all local ingredients from other vendors in the market. The sushi is given to you in a cylinder form; there is no need for chopsticks or forks!

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

Well, the hand rolls originated in Australia, but they have become very popular within the Market. Many people were in line to try this food! Seafood is also very important in Ireland; they are said to have some of the best seafood restaurants in the world! How cool is that?

However, I have noticed that Ireland is very environmentally conscious.
