The most popular types are vegetarian, chicken, or seafood paella. In the true spirit of being on an island, my friends and I decided to make the seafood version, or paella de mariscos. It sure was tasty, and well worth the three hours of cooking!

What music did I listen to this week?:

Ibiza is famous around the world for its electronic music scene. This includes such music as techno and house music. You can hear this music in restaurants, clubs and even the airport!

What activity was the most fun this week?:

My favorite activity in Ibiza was swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, even though I got stung by a jellyfish! I was so surprised at how warm the water was for October!

What did I read this week?:

This week, I have been reading a book I brought from home called On Trails by Robert Moor. This book is very fitting for my journey this week, due to all the traveling I have been doing!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

About three weeks ago, I began playing futsal with a Catalan soccer team here in Barcelona. We have practices two times a week, on Monday and Wednesday, and one game every weekend. So far, we have had three games this season. We won our first game 12-1!

Other news from this week:

Besides Ibiza and Madrid, other news from this week is that today marks three weeks living in my new apartment near the Arc de Triomf! While I was sad to say goodbye to Horta, I absolutely love everything about my new home. I especially enjoy my flatmates! I am sharing the apartment with three other people: A girl from Argentina, a girl from Galicia (Spain), and a guy from Australia!
