This week, I read Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century by Jessica Bruder and How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United States. Living outside of the United States has made me more interested in the influence our government has on other countries.
I have volleyball practice at the cancha (court) in my town this afternoon.
I was invited to present at the new volunteers' training this week. I made a poster about the Peace Corps' second and third goal, which is all about intercultural exchange between countries. I got to talk about the benefits of pen-pal programs and even mentioned Reach the World!
