Travel in my village: I’m lucky to live right on the school grounds, which is the center of the village. That means I don’t have to walk far to get to my garden, the classrooms or to the taxi stand! All of these places are only a one- or two-minute walk, so I did not travel far for work. Some people in the village have to walk for over an hour to get to school or their farm.
Travel to grocery shop: Every Wednesday I travel to a nearby town to go to the market. This is where I buy all my fresh fruits, vegetables and other food for the week. It is about 30 minutes away by car.
Other Travel: I visited a waterfall and local hiking spot with my friend on one of the few sunny days we’ve had lately. It took us just over two hours to get there in four different cars and vans! I also travelled to the capital, Accra (pronounced “uh-CRAW”), to watch the Ghana Black Stars soccer team qualify for the FIFA World Cup! It took three hours to get there.
