Florence and Rome ended up tying the game (1-1), but it was overall a really good experience!
This week, I read a lot of books by Dante Alighieri. He is a famous Italian poet who was born in Florence and lived during the Late Middle Ages (1256-1321). He is most famous for his work called "The Divine Comedy" which I am learning a lot about in my Italian culture class. Dante is an important figure in Italian culture so when you visit Florence you will see sculptures and pictures of him all throughout the city.
I didn't play any sports in particular, but I did go to a soccer game this week! I talked about it earlier but soccer is a really popular sport in Italy and everyone goes to the soccer games to cheer for their favorite team. Go Florentina!
I had a lot of fun this week exploring Florence and traveling to Umbria! There is always so much to do in Italy and I can't wait to continue exploring during my last month here.
