Umbria is still in Italy, so the main language spoken here is Italian. This small city is in the countryside, so less and less people speak English.
The money currency here is still European dollars or Euros for short!
A bottle of water here costs about €1 to €1.50 euros, which is about $1.40 to $1.70 U.S. dollars.
The best meal I had this week was a risotto dish! Risotto is an Italian dish where rice is cooked in some kind of broth and topped with vegetables or meat. I had it in a restaurant in Umbria and it was absolutely delicious! I added a little parmesan cheese to mine, which made it taste even better!
I heard a lot of Italian music this week during my time in Umbria. I heard a broad range of upbeat and pop songs, along with a lot of opera songs since that is very popular here in Italy!
