I traveled to Umbira this week, which is about a 2.5 train ride away from Florence.
Adding Umbria to my travels from before, I traveled a lot through Italy and a little outside of it! Here is a list of places I've gotten a chance to travel and explore during my time here:
To get around Italy, I usually take the bus or I walk. If I need to go out of the city, I use the train. The train system is really convenient and easy to navigate so I use it as often as I can. However, if I need to travel outside of Italy, I would usually fly in an airplane.
The most interesting place I visited this week was a truffle factory in Umbria! At this factory, I was able to learn more about the history of truffles along with the different types of truffle sauces that can be made from them. There are two types of truffles - white truffles and black truffles. White truffles are harder to find since they are deeper in the ground, hence why it cost almost 3 times the price of black truffles!
