Also, because of how popular trains are, it is good for the enviornment as it means less CO2 is released by cars, since trains can move a lot more people. This is especially true of the Shinkansen; it is able to carry a lot of people for long distance making it a better option (for the environment) than cars. You can also see the beuatiful scenary without having to worry about traffic or driving!
