Through my videos and writings, my goal became to be a fond memory as I passed by in my travels through life. That’s what content creation is all about, after all. Film and written notes are permanent sources of the past for the future to still see.
Choosing to travel to Urbino, Italy, was the conclusion I came to after writing a linguistic paper on Neorealism in my Italian film class. It took place post-World War II and this international film genre has made great contributions to the world of everyday common people. With foreign films, each media piece is like a message and emotional doorway into a country’s identity and perspective. For example, things like social class, religion, self-discovery, and romance are often points hit in these films. Learning from them online isn’t enough, so I decided it would be fun to go in person and observe those around me. It would be a dream come true to one day work on international film in some way.
So far In Italy, I’ve been impressed by many things like the unity the media creates in its people, the Renaissance paintings, the architecture, and the delicious cultural food. Of course, I can’t wait to share every worthy scenic moment with you guys!
