I like to think I have two families. One in America and another in Paris. My family in America consists of my mom, dad, step-dad and siblings (I have two brothers and one sister)! I mostly talk to all of them through text messages and instagram direct messages, because calling requires a lot of scheduling. I make sure to call my mom every week, but even that is hard sometimes to manage. My family in Paris consists of all of my best friends in the city. My friends in the attached picture, Lucie and Arden, are two people I see a lot during the week. We cook dinner together, go to cycling classes at a studio called Dynamo in the 6th arrondissement and explore new areas of Paris, together. It is great to have such close friends, who feel like a 2nd family, in Paris .
I get around mainly on the metro in Paris. The line closest to my house is Line 7, but my favorite metro line in Paris is Line 10. The attached photo shows me waiting for a line 10 train at the stop closest to NYU Paris. Line 10 travels through my favorite parts of Paris, along the left bank of the Seine, which is the area I am in the most.
Paris is quickly becoming a very cold city, so my favorite outfit is a big sweater and jeans. During the week, I dress more for warmth than fashion, but on the weekends it is fun for me to dress up more with friends. In the attached photo, I am wearing my favorite jacket that my sister gifted to me. This jacket feels like a giant blanket and is perfect as the Paris winter weather begins to approach freezing temperatures.
