In my free time, I like to explore the city! Paris is a super-exciting city, and exploring new events in different neighborhoods is always fun for me. This past weekend, my friends and I went to the Christmas Market in the Tuileries Gardens, which is close to the Eiffel Tower. The markets had fun rides and traditional French cuisine such as raclette, which is a classic, melted-cheese dish people eat in the winter months, here.
I speak English and am at an intermediate level in French. In French you traditionally use the word Bonjour to say "hello", but with friends you can use Salut or, my personal favorite, Coucou!
I have a one dog at home in Buda named Hazel; she is the best! I miss her a lot when I am abroad, but as you can see in the attached photos, my step-dad keeps me constantly updated on how my pooch is doing at home.
I have only traveled a little bit this past semester. I spent a long weekend in Nice, France with some of my friends—the South of France is one of my favorite places in the whole world. The people there are so kind, and the views are unbeatable. I also visited London to see the people I lived with this past summer and of course to show my new friends the best spots for pastries in London! My dad also came to Europe for a week to visit me, and we went to Amsterdam together. Amsterdam is another city I adore.
