Over the past few weeks here in Malaysia, I've been able to experience three cities, five states and many beautiful sites. Malaysia truly has a diverse range of geographies which makes exploring so exciting. Today, I will mostly speak about the beaches and oceans of Penang, which is an island on the northwest coast of Malaysia. I visited this island by driving five hours through a few states in Malaysia, then driving across a long bridge to get to the island.
On my visit to Penang, the most common plant that I saw was a palm tree, and I've truly never seen so many palm trees in my entire life. You may have seen some palm trees in the U.S.; they are tall, skinny and they only have branches at the very top. They also grow coconuts from which locals and animals can drink coconut water.
I feel peaceful and relaxed when surrounded by palm trees, because, in this case, I was on an amazing beach soaking up the sun and watching the sunset.
Palm trees cover all of Malaysia and many other areas of the world.
