La Laguna is where the university is on the island, so students from all over the world come to study here. Spanish is the official language, but almost everyone speaks English too. While walking down the street, you can also hear Italian, German and Russian!
Euros are used throughout Europe.
A bottle of water costs the same throughout the island. You can normally get a cold bottle from a cafe for one euro.
This week, I had a delicious meal at a restaurant with fresh fish! There was a cooler full of fish that were just caught, and you got to pick which one you wanted and they would grill it for you.
I am listening to more music in Spanish, mostly just the radio, and trying to learn some new words.
This week, I started taking Spanish classes at an academy in La Laguna. I cannot wait to practice and learn new Spanish vocabulary!
