We're getting into summer in Brazil! It was particularly hot (AC is not very common because it is much more expensive here) in September but has been milder recently because the rainy season is starting. Unlike Texas where it can be raining and still incredibly hot, the rain cools everything down here. The days get warm but it will rain in the night or morning and cool things down.
I see lots of cute cats around the neighborhood. The university campus also takes care of them. When walking to the gym, I often pass a few horses, too.
The trees on the campus are so beautiful. I noticed a jackfruit (jaca in Portuguese) tree, yesterday! I had no idea that these huge fruits grew so high up and on such thin trees. They may be thin, but they have to be strong.
