How was the weather this week?:

This week, Cuenca was warm each day but, very cold at night. A couple of windy nights this week made the air much colder than usual.

What animals did I see this week? :

For the first time in my life, I saw a group of llamas resting in the hills of Cuenca. They were a part of the rescue animal park in Cuenca and we were not allowed near them. I only saw them from a distance because they were recovering from trauma. Llamas are very common in Cuenca because of the many spaces and lands throughout the mountains. They are able to live freely here and they have plenty of plants to eat. I also saw some of the famous birds of Ecuador called the "Great Macaws", a yellow and blue macaw and a red and blue macaw.

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

The coolest place I visited this week was the Cajas National Park, which is famous for having a lagoon high in the mountains. A lagoon is a quiet and small body of water that is usually found next to an ocean but, this lagoon is high in the mountains.
