In Portugal, they use the euro (written like a big curvy E), like most of the countries in Europe. One euro is worth slightly more than one U.S. dollar. For example, right now, a dollar is worth about 95 euro cents here.

What was the best meal this week?:

This week we went to a flea market near the old part of town. There was a busy café, and I understand why it was busy...all of the food it served was so delicious! I got fried calamari (squid) with arroz e feijão (beans and rice). I can highly recommend this dish!

What music did I listen to this week?:

I recently went to a music festival here in the city and found some new Portuguese artists to listen to! One is called Capitão Fausto, which is super fun. The Taylor Swift movie finally made it to theaters here, so I am also listening to her a lot, which is typical for me.
