I like to wear long pants and blouses, Muslimah wear! It can be inconvenient with Singapore's weather, because it is hot and humid, but you get used to it. I just station myself in air-conditioned places. Basically, jeans and some flowery blouse, that's my fashion. If I go trekking, I would wear tights and some dry-fit top.
I love to read books, listen to podcasts, play my guitar, walk around in the beautiful natural scenery in Singapore, and I like to appreciate both the architecture and the natural landscape. I also love to volunteer in any way that I can, such as with Project Hills, which is an organization that goes door to door to provide necessities for Singapore's lower-income families.
Singaporeans are typically bilingual. We learn English and a mother tongue from the age of five until sixteen, through formal education. But because we also mix with other races who speak different languages, we are receptive to bilinguals. We can often understand what people from other races are saying, and we often speak a little of their language too, just to get around! I speak English and Malay, mostly. To say "hello" in Malay we say Hai. In Arabic we say Assalamualaikum (this is how Muslims greet each other, even if we aren't Arabs). In Chinese we say Ni Hao.
