How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

Sumin takes a bus to school every day. She is allowed to walk to and from her bus stop by herself.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Sumin goes to an international school. This means that her school teaches classes in English. In most schools here, though, it is more common to speak Korean. If you want to say hello in Korean, you have to say "an-yong-ha-say-o".

What are some common kids' names at your school?:

Sumin says that names like Jae-eun, Jinyoung, and Minseong are very popular. Some students even have to put a number by their name so teachers can tell them apart.

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

Like schools in the US, Sumin's school teaches mathematics, science, literature, history, and gym. Unlike schools in the US, Sumin is also able to take a class called woodworking. This is actually Sumin's favorite class. She loves learning how to make things out of wood.

What is your homework like?:

Many of her teachers assign worksheets or textbook questions. Homework difficulty ranges depending on classes.
