I also see all of the locals out walking their dogs around the cities, neighborhoods and beaches. I often see dogs in coffee shops hanging out with their owners too. A lot of people in Malta have pets, and the Maltese tend to bring their dogs everywhere with them.
Perhaps what I saw the most of, however, is fish! When I swim in the sea, I get to look down with my goggles and see many schools of all different colors and species of fish! It is so fun to swim among so many of them.
Some people often say that Malta does not have that much nature. This may be true in the sense that Malta is not a place with that many trees or that much grass. However, there are beautiful hills, farmland and towering cliffs that meet the clearest sea I have ever seen. Though I appreciate different aspects of nature in Malta, my attention always comes back to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Whether it is sandy beaches, sunsets over the sea, or gorgeous viewpoints overlooking cliffs, the sea here continues to impress me. So, the sea as a whole is definitely the coolest thing I saw in nature this week.
This week, I got to go on plenty of long walks during which I saw subtle signs of fall. I observed how the sun is setting earlier and earlier, and I saw how just a few trees seem to be losing some leaves, even though fall doesn't present itself too obviously here in Malta.
