Hello, everyone! My name is Arden Woodall, and I'm so excited to introduce myself and get to know you better soon. I am 22, from Noblesville, Indiana, and graduated from Purdue University in May of 2024 with a B.A. in English Education and minors in Spanish and Creative Writing. You might be wondering why Ms. Aubuchon has brought some stranger into your classroom to interrupt your curriculum, so let me explain how we know each other! I’m a licensed teacher in the state of Indiana, where I can teach English Language Arts to grades 5 through 12, and that is possible because I completed both a field experience teaching practicum and my student teaching semester teaching English 10 Honors and English as a New Language in Ms. Aubuchon's class. You all are so lucky to have her, and I am grateful to be back in her classroom, even if it is just virtually.
I developed my passion for teaching, especially English as a new language, right in the room you're sitting in. Collaborating with brilliant educators like Ms. Speer, Ms. Cline, and, most of all, Ms. Aubuchon, to support other Mavs toward learning English, whether it be the language or literature, showed me how much I love the ways language can foster relationships.
