English names, on the other hand, are all over the place, with some students having typical names like Chloe, Hanna, Sophia, Chris, Alex, Tim and Daniel, while others choose names like Dora, Orange, Hulk and Jello because of their favorite character or food.
Main classes such as math and Chinese composition take place almost every day and are taught by the homeroom teacher, while other classes such as art, computers, PE, music, Taiwanese and English are taught by subject teachers. Anna’s favorite class is art and Michael’s is computers.
Most homework is from their workbooks for each subject, but they usually do homework at school or during after-school classes before they get home. Both Michael and Anna are happy they do not get English homework.
While most days Anna and Michael do not get home from school before dinner, they like to play sports and games in their free time. Michael and his friends play popular sports like basketball, baseball, and badminton, while Anna likes swimming and dancing.
