It has been incredibly hot in Ho Chi Minh City this week. Some days the temperature feels as high as 110 degrees Fahrenheit. There have even been power outages due to people having to use their air conditioners so much.
Living in the middle of the city I see lots of dogs on the street, some of them are strays and some of them live at local shops where the workers take care of them. I volunteer twice a week at a local dog shelter that recently took in a whole bunch of puppies, so I got to play with them a lot this week! Out and about, I also saw a lot of geckos on trees and a cool blue lizard I'd never seen before. I also regularly see live chickens, ducks, and fish at the market near my house. Sometimes the fish get out of their tanks, so I have to avoid flopping fish on my walk to get fruit or coffee. Speaking of coffee, I went to a coffee shop that had a bunch of guinea pigs!
