I did not travel very far this week and mostly stayed in Ho Chi Minh City. I often travel between District 2 (where I live) and District 7 (where many of my friends live). While the distance is only about 6 miles, it usually takes around 30-40 minutes to get there on a motorbike.
Through this journey, I have traveled all over Vietnam. I have visited many cities in both southern and northern Vietnam. A flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi takes about 2 hours and I have visited at least 5 times since I first moved here. My favorite place that I've visited has been the Ha Giang region in northern Vietnam. To get there you have to ride motorbikes along small roads on the sides of mountains. It can be dangerous if you are not careful, but I rode on the back of the motorbike of a professional driver with a lot of experience!
This week I got around primarily by motorbike. It is so hot it has been difficult to walk very far during the day. I have a small, white, electric motorbike that I use to get around my neighborhood.
