The weather this week was cold and kind of miserable. There were a few moments of sunshine, but for the majority of the time the clouds blocked out any warmth. In addition to that, there was consistent drizzle combined with wind, which made for a rather unpleasant time.
I have seen pigeons (on the sidewalks) and a few ducks (on the banks of the river).
This week I had to take a train to the nearby city of Kaiserslautern for one of my classes. Around 9 a.m. while on the train, I glanced out of my window and saw a few little flecks of snow falling! They did not stick but it was nice to see a pretty side of winter.
My sister lives in Portland Oregon right now, and we were comparing the weather forecast for our respective cities, and it was comforting to be reminded that it is not just grey, wet and cold here but also in other places!
